Dole Plantation prides itself on helping to educate both visitors and local residents on Hawaii's unique agriculture industry. Throughout the year, we offer educational tours for schools and small groups. This is a great way for students to learn about the history of pineapple and the future of diversified agriculture on Oahu. Best of all, it's fun!

Pineapple Express Train Ride
Take a two-mile, 20-minute fully narrated train ride through a real-life "working plantation." Along the route, students will learn about the history of pineapple and agriculture in Hawaii, and hear the fascinating story of James Dole.

Plantation Garden Tour
This walking tour is made up of eight mini-gardens that give students an up-close look at a wide variety of crops being grown on the North Shore of Oahu, as well as a look back at life on the plantation. Your tour ends with a garden related craft of activity.
